  • Engine Application: Built for Holden 253 and 308 V8 carburettor motors across the Red, Blue and Black engine variants. Suits HT, HG, HQ, HJ, HX, HZ, WB, LH/LX Torana, VB through VL Commodore and earlier carby Holden V8 builds where a bright chrome dress-up package is the goal.

  • Will Not Fit EFI Heads (Critical): These covers fit the carby Holden V8 heads only. They will not fit the later EFI Holden V8 heads, which use a different bolt pattern and cover footprint. If your Holden V8 is fuel injected (factory EFI on later VL, VN onwards, or aftermarket EFI conversion using EFI heads), confirm head type before ordering.

  • Raised 308 Logo and Finned Grooves: The prominent 308 logo sits in the centre of each cover with raised grooves running along the top, giving a finned look without being a fully finned aftermarket cover. The chrome plating picks up the raised logo and groove edges sharply, giving more visual depth than a flat smooth cover. The logo and grooves are part of the pressing rather than a stuck-on badge.

  • Tall Profile (95mm): At 95mm overall, the tall design clears a high-lift camshaft, roller rockers, shaft mount rockers and stud girdles commonly used in performance Holden V8 builds. Standard height covers often foul on aftermarket roller valvetrain, which is where this profile earns its place..

  • Power Booster Clearance Warning: At 95mm tall, these covers can come close to the brake power booster on certain Holden chassis, particularly tighter engine bays. Worth measuring clearance between the existing covers and the booster before ordering, especially on Toranas and earlier Holdens where the booster sits lower than on later Commodores.

  • Triple Chrome Plated Construction: Pressed steel base with triple chrome plating gives a deep, reflective finish and improves long-term durability against oxidation and chip-through. Suits chrome-themed engine bays, restorations and show builds where a bright dress-up package ties through the engine bay.

  • Complete With Baffles, Breather Setup Separate: Internal baffles are included to control oil splash and stop oil being pulled out through the breather. Push-in breather caps, grommets and rocker cover gaskets are sourced separately, so plan to add these to the order. Chrome breather caps tie the dress-up package together if a cohesive look is the goal.

  • Practical Buyer Tip: Chrome benefits from a gentle wipe-down with a soft microfibre cloth and a quality chrome polish to keep it bright, particularly in coastal or humid conditions where pitting can start to develop. Avoid harsh degreasers and abrasive polishes that can dull or scratch the plating over time. For 253 builds that prefer not to display the 308 badge, the no-logo chrome version of this same cover is available.

Authority to Leave

  • ALL parcels are sent with Authority To Leave (ATL) - if the delivery driver believes it is safe to leave your parcel at your premises they will do so. if you wish to have a signature on delivery added to your delivery please message us BEFORE purchasing
    IF an item is marked as "delivered" and is then stolen ect, it will be a police matter.

Return Policy

  • 30 days after the buyer receives it.
  • The buyer is responsible for return postage costs unless we have accidentally sent you the incorrect part.

In addition to the above

if the return is the result of a customer ordering mistake or change of mind, then:

  • A restocking fee may apply.
  • Buyer pays return postage & Insurance in all circumstances
  • Original postage costs are non-refundable – this includes “free” shipping items as it still costs us to send the item.
  • Damaged in transit items, we MUST be informed about within 24 hours of receiving the item, after 24 hours we are NOT able to cover any damaged item claims.
  • If an item is believed to be “faulty” then return cost must be covered by the buyer, the item will then be sent back to our supplier for inspection, if deemed to be “faulty” then return shipping cost will be refunded, if not then we will refund you for the item minus the original shipping costs.
  • Items MUST be test fitted BEFORE painting them (where applicable) - we can NOT refund or accept any returns for items once they have been painted.
  • We do NOT accept change of mind returns for engine parts

  • We supply all products with a 1 Year Parts Replacement Warranty unless specified on the Product description & Specifications.
  • Return postage and installation labour are the buyer's expense.
